Hoping this will solve their problems for the coming winter, Papa Smurf, Farmer Smurf and Chef Smurf work together in secrecy to introduce a delicious new meal to the village using the beans. The only problem is the purple beans become so popular, many Smurfs can't stop eating them and become overweight. However, a small group of Smurfs, led by Smurfette, resist the purple beans and try to convince the Smurfs to quit eating them and embrace a healthier lifestyle.
